Last night I had to take Raef to the Emergency Room. He was really sick yesterday, he couldn't talk because his throat hurt so bad, and he had a high fever all day. I wanted to make sure that he didn't have anything too bad. When they took us back to triage they tried to swab his throat but Raef wouldn't let them. So they said that the doctor will most likely do it when we got back there. Well the Doctor came in and check on Raef looked in his ears and told me that he had an ear infection. Then he listened to Raef's chest. Then said that Raef needed a Xray to make sure he didn't have Pneumonia. Well it turns out that he does. Raef has not only an ear infection but also Pneumonia.
The Doctor said that Raef needed to get a SHOT. Raef started to cry when the nurses came in to give him his shot the asked him to put his legs down and in his Raspy little Voice tried to Yell " NEVER...NEVER", but it was more like this, "neeevvveeerr...nnnneevveerr"as tears streamed down his cheeks. Then he looked at me with the saddest eyes that said "Why did you let them do that to me". My heart Broke. It was so sad. I love that boy I am so sad that he is so sick. The doctor said he will be better by Monday. So no school for the rest of the week. Poor Boy.

Poor Raefy! I would've been so heartbroken watching them give him his shots. If only our kids knew just how painful it was for us to see them in pain.
I hope he gets better. I love his little raspy voice (that I could hear over the phone). It sounded so sweet and pathetic.
Speaking of "never, never", let's hope there'll never be anymore of you with pneumonia!!
Poor Raef! I am so sorry you had to spend so much time at the ER! Does he have to do breathing treatments? Give him a love from Aunt Jillie
