So it has been a few months since I have been on my blog. I have been just using face book to keep up with everyone.
Things are going good here.
Since the last time I was on my blog a few things have happened. The biggest news was that Cooper was born on March 9th at 10:49pm, he was 7 lbs 1 ounce 19 1/2 inches long. He is almost 3 months old and is 23 1/2 inches long and just over 11lbs. He is getting so big. He has blue, blue eyes and he has blond hair "peach fuzz". He has been sleeping really well at night. about 4 to 5 hours at a time. Its is great.
Kaylee is doing well, she is loving being a big sister. I don't think she lets Cooper have more than 15 minutes to himself the whole day. She is getting really big she is 3 1/2 feet tall, she wears size 6t shirts and 5t pants, she has a long upper half. I swear she gets more beautiful everyday. We plan on getting her into tennis this summer. She wants to play a sport like her brothers, she has so much energy we think it will be a good thing for her to do.
Brady is so wonderful. He is reading so good and surprises us everyday with how much he knows. He is working hard at being more like his big brother. He is beginning to love to play sports, last year he wasn't so much into it, but this year he wants to play. He is in coach pitch baseball and he can hit the ball. We were thinking of keeping him in T Ball but we are really glad we didn't. He is excited to be on the same team as Raef. The two of them get along so well. Brady is still little he is only a few inches taller than Kaylee, and I cant get that kid to eat anything. Unlike Raef, who eats anything and everything, and if he doesn't like it he will still eat it and just not have seconds.
Raef is doing really well. He is excited for Summer because 3 grade was harder for him and he is ready to have a break. He still did really well in school, but it was more work than he expected. He is playing baseball on Brady's team and is one of the oldest kids on the team and does really good. He plays the catcher position and loves it. He likes being able to help Brady get better at playing. They go outside and play catch and hit balls with Rob. Raef hits the ball so hard he is starting to hit the house next door so now they are going to have to go practice at the park.
Rob is doing great. he finished his Bachelors Degree and has decided to go back to school for his Masters. Every morning he wakes up at 3:45 and goes to the gym before he goes to work. I am so proud of him. He works so hard.
Me well I'm doing good. I have started working as a Pharmacy Tech at Rite Aid. I love it. I love learning what each pill does. I have learned so much the last two months. I also have been working out at curves.
A couple of weeks ago we had our big tire swing tree fall over, and we have been cleaning up the mess that it has caused. Lucky for us it didn't hit the house. We have some deep holes in the ground from where the branches hit. The kids are sad because the swing is gone. Rob and I are OK with it because now we have a blank canvas so we can plant new trees back there. We are thinking Birch, Crab apple, and Red bud trees.

Sorry I posted the pictures randomly. No particular order. Raef"s team has only lost two games and has won three. He is the left tackle and he does alright. As you see from the first photo his number is 98. He has a fun time and loves playing.

So it has been well, let's say, a crazy few weeks.

I am now 9 weeks pregnant and normally at this time I am doing nothing but laying on the couch and throwing up every five minutes.

Well, that is how it started. I was feeling horrible; unable to move pretty much. Rob was such good help. He was taking care of the kids and me, helping wherever he could. I laid on the couch for over a week unable to do anything but make it to the bathroom. I am so lucky Rob is here, because at times I couldn't make it back from the bathroom without help. During that week I lost 15 pounds.

As the week went on I was looking pretty gnarly. In fact, I had this huge knot on the back of my head that I couldn't brush through. Rob gave me a bath on Sunday last week and put conditioner in my hair and tried to brush the knot out. But even with conditioner the knot stayed. It was pretty scary. Thats when Rob mentioned that maybe I should have my hair cut. And I began to think he was right.

Come Sunday night, I was really sick so Rob took me to the ER and I was given ZOFRAN. To all you pregnant ladies out there, if you have severe morning sickness this is the medicine for you. I have been able to get up and move around since Monday. I am still working on replenishing my fluids and getting myself back to normal. But I have cut my hair. I cut about 5 inches off, and yes, I got the knot out before I cutting it. It took 3 days of brushing, but it finally came out.

My house is still a work in progress. I am still trying to catch up on the things that were put on the back burner, but now that I have this medicine, I should be able to get it all done.

Oh, by the way, I have a few very cute pictures of some little boys playing football that I will be posting soon. Raef started practice this week and is doing great. It is so cute to see him run with his helmet on. Next week he will be wearing his pads and practice jersey. Brady starts flag football on Monday and he is totally excited. It is just a blast. Wish you all could see them play.

Well I hope everyone had fun at the anniversary party. Sorry we couldn't make it. Love you all.

Almost forgot, Kaylee has been hooked to my hip. She has been taking care of me and loving on me since we told them about the baby. She says its a girl. Brady says its twins, and Raef just wants a girl so Kaylee will leave him alone. Sounds like an older brother to me.

So its about 12:30 right now and I have been laying in bed trying to go to sleep. With no luck, I have the worst Heart Burn in the world right now. So anyway while I was laying in bed the thought came to my head (in robs voice) "Sara why don't you post the pictures of Raefs Baptism?" So here I am out of bed posting pics of Raef's Baptism. Also here are some pictures of Lake Michigan. We went on Saturday in the evening after Raefs Baptism. Which was on 07/10/10. There was such a good turn out. Almost everyone from the Branch showed up. And I had a ton of help with refreshments. It truly was a blessing.

Robs Dad gave the opening prayer, and his mom gave a really good talk on baptism. Which totally made me almost cry. I held it in though. Then after the talk on baptism Raef was baptised by Rob and then we watched a short film that the Elders provided for us. When Raef and Rob returned Allison gave the talk on the Holy Ghost. (moms talk) She did awesome. Then Raef was confirmed by Rob, his dad and some members of the branch. He then was welcomed by the primary and the Branch President.

It really was a wonderful day. I wish you all could have been there to see him. Oh yeah can't forget to mention. Raef had a friend from school come. His Friend Jenna. They have been friends since Raef started first grade. It is seriously the cutest thing.

Well ok it is now 1am and I think I need to get to bed. I have a YARD SALE in the morning. Woohooo.

Our 4th of July Weekend

so rob and I have been working on the kitchen this weekend. As of right now I no longer have a stove...well for the time being. So it is PB&J and Microwaved Ramen Noodles. Which is totally fine. The kids love PB&J's and rob loves Ramen Noodles. So as we were ripping out the counters in the kitchen we find out why old houses are so FREAKIN sturdy. When we finally got on piece of the counter apart we saw tongue and grove pieces of wood with laminate over it and then butcher block on top of that. And on the butcher block was more laminate. It was ridiculous. Rob was working so hard swinging the sledge hammer. Also behind were the stove was there was a tile back splash that we ripped out. Well behind that we found cabinet doors. . I will post pictures in a while I have some more pictures to take. So. You will be able to see it soon.

Things have been a little busy here lately. I have been working everyday the last two weeks. Its been crazy. I have driven over 300 miles which is great because I get paid 50cents a mile. So the more driving the better. And its a great thing that we now have cell phones because I would still be trying to find my way home if I didn't have Allison (the Fabulous, the Incredible, the Wonderful *choose adjective of choice*) as my Navigator. She was talking to me telling, me where to go. It was awesome. She is way better than a GPS; she actually talks to me unlike the GPS, which does talk to me and tells me where to go, but gets me lost. I'm not saying Allison didn't send me the wrong way every now and then (she sooo didn't, it was just me giving her the wrong city for her to look up, I'm just saying that to make her mad).

So Rob has been a complete trooper with me working so much. I put Kaylee down for a nap with him around 11:30 and take Brady to school. Rob wakes up at 2:30 and picks up the kids. This whole time I'm driving around, checking out hotel and mobile home parks in cities from Dorr, all the way down to Benton Harbor. Next week I start training enumerators. Yep, you've read that correctly! I will be training new people to go to all the places I have been to enumerate. I personally never thought as someone who could train someone else but...whatever.

So we got a new kitchen table (finally) The table and chairs are covered with plastic so the kids cant ruin them. The last table we had was the one Mom got us when we first got married and it was on it's last leg, literally! Whenever we moved it, the leg would fall off. Also, recently, our kitchen sink was clogged really bad and one day I was bored and took apart the pipe and in return got sprayed by all the nasty water. I then went to Ace Hardware and got new pipes and fixed it up. I.Am.Awesome! Oh and we are almost done with the down stairs bathroom. We put up tile around the tub. I think it looks great for our first time.

Also, we got a new couch! My friend Crystal found out that we were selling our sectional and she said she wanted it so we sold it to her. For about a month we were sitting on our little loveseat. Yep, all five of us and we were cozy.

Raef has moved from regular spelling tests to challenge spelling tests. He has gotten 100% on both of them! We are so proud of him. And Brady is learning to read and constantly tells us the speed limit! Kaylee loves to sing her favorite song, "Hey, Hey, Hey".

My New Job

So last week I started working for the United States Census Bureau. It was a long and boring training. But during the training I met a new friend who made the training go so much faster. So this week I will be making phone calls and making appointments. So fun fun.

Oh on a side note. Rob gave me another incentive for loosing the weight That I want to lose so Allison can come visit. 2 dollars for every pound. Super exciting.

So over the past five years we have grown alot as individuals and as a family. I have found that I have become a better Mom and Wife. I have worked hard to make my family happy. Rob is a great Husband and a great Father. He works so hard to provide for us. He not only works 40+ hours a week at his job but he is also going to school full time.

The last few months of 2009 were a trial to say the least. And when there's trials, something good always follows. Rob has received a new calling and he is so excited to be able to serve with men that he respects and he loves.

I am excited for this new calling because we are going to be able to grow and become better people.

I am so proud of Rob for the decisions he has made as a husband and father and a member of the church.

Lost 3 Pounds

So I was excited this morning when I weighed myself. I lost 3 pounds in 2 days. How awesome is that.

Oh by the Way not Pregnant, not trying to get pregnant...at least not for awhile. So that isn't the little secret.

And I guess its not a huge secret, its just something that makes me see things differently.

She said that if I could lose the weight that I want to she would come and visit in July. So I need to lose the amount I want by June. So here goes I am starting now to reach my goal. My Diet Update

Okay, So I know that I said lets start the 1st of the month. Well I wasn't expecting to go to Robs parents house for the weekend. I put off starting my diet until today.

Well this morning I woke up and weighed myself and I am at 184. I know, what the HELL happened. I was at 160 something in July. Believe me, I am extremely upset with what I allowed to happen after all the time and effort I put in to loosing all of my weight from before.

So anyway I will quit complaining and I will say today started off good.

This morning I woke up and had a light breakfast which equaled 200 calories. For Lunch I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Then for Dinner we had Bagel Sandwiches. So with a total of somewhere around 800-900 calories today, and a half an hour of Pilate's. I think I am off to a good start. I will do better tomorrow.

I am thinking of doing my Pilate's twice a day. Once in the morning and once before I go to bed.

If you have any Ideas let me know.

Also I will post a Beginning picture as soon as I can. I tried to take on this morning but once again the battery was dead. (Stupid Camera)

Robs mom took some pictures so here they are.

So I forgot to mention what we did over Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. So I thought that I would do a quick post to let you know.

For Thanksgiving we went to Rob's Uncles house to visit his Grandparents. It was a great time. We were able to just spend time together and have a great dinner.

For Christmas we went to Robs Grandpa Hamlin's house on Christmas eve and had a little lunch and opened some presents. We had a lot of fun. We got to see Rob's Parents and Dana and Chris and his 3 kids, And Steve. Then we came home and spent Christmas at home.
Christmas Day we woke up and opened presents, the kids at candy all day and we went and saw Alvin and The Chipmunks. It was a great time.

Hey Y'all,

I know in my last post I mentioned how excited we were because Raef didn't have an accident for a full week. Well I just wanted to mention that it has been almost a full month now still no accidents. Things here at home are getting back to normal and he is doing great. We think that Raef has had more time to concentrate on getting to the bathroom now that our life is a bit simpler. It is real hard as parent because sometimes you feel like you are the reason your child may be struggling at particular aspects of their life, even harder when individual(s) make destructive comments towards the way you are dealing with the situation. Raef is the best and we are so proud of him, he is and will always be a blessing in our life.

We have moved our furniture around, it seems to be working for us. We made a playroom upstairs for the kids and moved our bedroom down stairs. I really like having my room downstairs. The kids are still adjusting to the playroom being upstairs and keeping their toys there. They still want to come down and play in the living room. And every night we find Kaylee asleep in Raefs bed. It is seriously the cutest thing. Brady has become a crazy man. He has so much energy and has been acting so funny. He runs around the house clucking like a chicken, he says things like its time for me to be dumb and falls on the ground or runs into the couch.

The kids all got Webkinz this Christmas and they love them. Raef has 3, a tiger, a panther, and a silver cat. Brady has 2, a frog, and a bull frog. And Kaylee has a puppy.
Christmas was really good this year. The kids love the toys they got, and Rob loves his Tile Saw. And I love my bracelet.

My Birthday was good this year also. I got a new vacuum, which I only have been able to use a few times. Rob loves it and uses it more than me. I love it. It is amazing to see what our old vacuum was missing.

For informational purposes I was put on a new medication that seems to be working a lot better than the Celexa was. I seem to have more energy and I am feeling a lot better. I am not so down all the time and I am enjoying my kids and Rob alot more now. Pristiq has been wonderful.

Also I was talking to Rob and we were thinking about starting the biggest loser again. So those who are interested please let us know. I gained all the weight that I lost back. It is very depressing. So if you are interested we are planing to start January 1st. So you have a few days to get things in order. We could do it for a reward or just because we want to feel better about ourselves. So its up to you. Let us know as soon as you can.

This year has been as crazy as we could imagine. We are happy to see it go but also grateful that necessary lessons were learned. We will try to learn, and not make the same mistakes this year. Family is our priority, wherever we land.

Sorry about not posting any pictures lately, our camera isn't charging again so we don't have pictures of Christmas or thanksgiving. Hopefully we will have some pictures soon. Miss you All.

Hey Y'all

Just wanted to let everyone know how grateful I am to have the friends I have. I am so lucky to have these people who care about me and my family so much, that they would stop what ever they are doing just to come over and help me out in a time of need.
I want them to know that I appreciate them so much. It is always nice to be able to count on someone no matter what.

Now on a different subject, we are super excited this year for Christmas. We aren't going anywhere but just staying home and enjoying each other.

So plans have changed with what will be going on in our lives. We have decided no longer to continue down the path of opening our own business. So those of you who were hoping to barrow money from us when we made our millions...well your gonna have to wait awhile.

Update on the kiddies. Raef is doing awesome, we were having issues with him peeing his pants but things are much better the last week. He hasn't had one accident. We are so happy.
Brady is loving school and is counting down the days until Christmas.
Kaylee well....she is a female Dennis the Mennis. She tells me to go out of the room when she wants to do something she is suppose do.

Things are great here. Our little family is doing well. Love you all.

A Long Time Away

So I haven't been updating my blog lately. I wish that I have a good excuse to why I haven't, but I don't. Things here have been a little crazy with everything going on.
For those of you who don't know what I am talking about I'll explain.

In a month in a half Rob and I, Brian and Cindy(robs brother and his wife) will be opening a Heating and Cooling Company. So since August Cindy and the Kids have been here and every weekend but one Brian is here. So we have had a full house.

Cindy and I have been in charge of getting the business in order. From Getting the LLC and Insurance to setting up a little office in the fireplace room by my stairs. I like where we put the computer, the only issue I have is the fact that my wireless connection sucks there. I am always having to move the computer to a different spot to get the connection started.

Its been really great having Cindy here, she has taught me how to make tortillas and how to make salsa. she helps me with things that are around the house. Like she helped me fix my Kitchen table. And others things. Its been fun. Although I am sure that I get annoying to her, I tend to do things a certain way and it probably can get old. But she hasn't showed that she is annoyed, I am just assuming. Mostly because I know how I am.

Well That's about all I have to update right now.

So today has been one of those days. I woke up this morning with an upset stomach, not thinking much of it because it is how I have been feeling the last couple of days. I start my cleaning and getting ready for Allison's visit tomorrow. Yippee. When I notice that it is already time for lunch, (still haven't eaten breakfast) well my stomach still hurts so I make Rob, and Raef chicken salad sandwiches with lettuce and tomato, and Brady and Kaylee PB&J. I make myself just a lettuce and tomato sandwich, hoping that something light will help settle my upset tummy. Well to no avail, I ended up sick in the bathroom no more than an hour later. So I try to lay down, but the things that I needed to get done kept running through my head, so I got up and started cleaning again (well in between bathroom breaks of course) When I noticed it was time for dinner. So I made dinner eggs, potatoes and bacon. yummy right? The boys loved it, and Kaylee didn't eat much, mostly just her eggs. She loves eggs. So I decide to give my kids a bath and let them play in the tub right before bedtime. So I go down stairs and start to clean up dinner. When I think to myself "Don't mop the floor yet" and of course I'm like heck yeah I can wait to do that. So I go up and get the kids out of the tub and bring Kaylee down to brush her hair. I feel Kaylee's head and she is burning up, and then I hear it.....the rumbling of a upset tummy. But its not mine. I look down to see Kaylee's face turn white. I pick her up and start running into the kitchen to make it to the bathroom, but as my luck goes we get as far a the fridge when dinner ends up on the floor. So I take her over to the sink to get her cleaned up, when she looks at me and says "I spilled, Sorry I spilled".
It was so cute. It made cleaning up the mess worth it, and boy was I happy I hadn't already Mopped the floor.

By the way the last week or so I have been trying to potty train Kaylee. The last two days have been great only a few accidents and 2 poops on the potty.

I would like to start up a little weight loss competition. This is an on-your-honor system.

FIRST WEIGH-IN: Wednesday, January 1st. This is your set start weight—no changing! This number will be used in all weekly and final calculations. No one will need to report their weight since we are just doing percentage of weight lost. This is the fairest way to do the competition. If you have just a few pounds to lose, than you will have a higher percentage loss than those who have a lot more to lose. For example, if you weigh 130 pounds at the start day and lose 2 pounds the first week, you will have lost 1.54% (explanation of how to figure out percentages below). If you weigh 200 pounds at the start day and lose 2 pounds the first week, you will have lost 1.00%. Those of you who are interested in losing weight, join me in our family's Biggest Loser Challenge. The winner will receive a huge chunk of change.

Everyone that participates will need to put $20 in a pot (Jamie) and the persons who lose the highest percentage of body weight will receive money. The money will be split between the biggest loser of the guys and gals.

So I never thought that you could be home sick while at home. Well come to find out it is possible. When the other half of you is gone you always feel alone. No matter how many people are around you. These last two weeks have been hard. I haven't been sleeping very well and for those of you who know me, know I can sleep any where any time. All you have to do is let me close my eyes for a few minutes and I am gone to the world. Even though I had help all last week and visitors, and of course my babies, I still felt empty. I still caught my self saying this is hard, I miss my honey, I want him to come home. Well this week is the last week he comes home on Sunday, I am counting down the days. Its just a feeling of relief that is coming over me know that he will be home in less then a week.

I don't understand how others (Army wife's, and those whose husbands travel) can do this. It has to be the most stressed time of their lives. Although these women most likely get into routines that once the spouse comes home they get thrown for a loop. But back to my point, having your best friend that you spend every night next to and every morning waking up to, and then having them not there is heart breaking and depressing.

Every email becomes more and more important. You want to know everything what they ate, what they saw, when they went to the bathroom (not what they did in there though). And every email that you write to them you find your self just going on about nothing. Little things that you never would have mentioned before.

But anyway I am sure that you get the picture. I am home sick because I miss my honey. But he will be home soon. I can't wait.

Oh by the way, started doing Pilate's on a regular basis, and I can fit in size 12 but yet I weigh more. Hmmmm sucky.

So I talked to Rob today, actually talked to him. He called me, it was so nice to hear his voice. I put him on Speaker phone and all of us were able to talk to him at the same time. He said the sites that he has seen were just amazing. He said that the food is really good, well all but the potatoes. He said those were nasty. Right now he is in Heidelberg . They will be enjoying the Heidelberg Castle during the morning. Then the afternoon they have to themselves to go shopping, site seeing, or they can go back to the hotel and take a nap. Rob will be in Frankfort all day on Tuesday. Wednesday he will travel through Baden-Baden "Bath, Bath" (that's like New York, New York here) and stopping for lunch. Before they go to Strasbourg, France. He will be staying in the Chateau de Pourtales. Thursday He will be visiting Hambach, France and see how the Smart car is made. Sorry no link. Then again the will be in Baden-Baden where he will be visiting the hot springs. And then back to Strasbourg. Again sorry no link to the hot springs. I couldn't find a picture. Well that's it for now. I will update you on his other ventures at a later time.

By the Rob is doing a study abroad program for school. His major for his bachelors is Marketing. This trip will help him understand the marketing techniques in other countries.

So I only have a few hours before Rob is off to Germany. I can't believe how fast the time went. I am glad that he is able to do this. It is going to be a great experience for him.
Three weeks with out him is going to be hard. I am glad that I live in a branch that is so willing to help. I have the Young Women calling and asking if they can stay at my house so they can keep me company. I love the fact that in this branch people go out of their way to help those they feel are going to need it.
I am going to miss Rob So Much. But I wont be alone. I have my Babies and they will keep me company for those three weeks. Rob will be home on Fathers Day. Any ideas for a Gift?

So I weighed myself this morning. I have lost 15 pounds. I am now at 175. I feel great. If you are wondering how I am doing this. I am just making sure I don't consume more calories then I burn. So about a month or so ago I decided to go back to trying to loose some weight. I have lost about 10lbs. Still not enough to take a picture of myself. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am doing good.
I walk alot and I am doing Pilates and Taebo. I am watching how much I eat and counting calories. Also I have stopped my dependency on pop. I drink maybe a total of 32 ounce a week.(diet pop also) I know right, me drinking Diet pop. Crazy, Huh?
Well Allison and I have made a deal to be each others supporters. I help her and she helps me, when I want a snack she tells me no and when she wants a snack I say depends on what it is. she says chocolate and then I say NO. We both are trying to loose 20 lbs by June. I don't have much to go. But with every pound I am going to try to set a new goal of where I want to be by the next month.

Hey Everyone. I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year.

This year I have a goal, well I have a few goals, but the biggest one that started today is NO MORE POP. Yep you heard me no more Pepsi, no more Dr Pepper, no more. I am going to try to loose 2lbs a week so that by June I will have lost 50lbs. I am at 186 right now. That is to much. I am going to try to get me self back down to the weight I was when I got married. I am going to need all the support I can get. Tonight before I go to bed I am going to do 15 situps, and as time goes on I will add to it. So my goal by next week this time is to be 2lbs lighter. I will keep you updated on my progress.

No Church Today

Good morning. Well last night we went to bed with the news that it wasn't going to stop snowing for a while. It started snowing Friday and has continued on. Last Night I went out side to shovel when we had about 6 inches on the ground. Not to mention that I shoveled a path to the car earlier that yesterday so I could go to the store, that was about 3 inches. Well as I was shoveling at 7 o' clock last night I moved my way around to the front of the house. It took me a half an hour but I finished shoveling the walk up to the front door and the side walk in front and beside my house. Well in that half an hour there was another inch of snow on the ground where I had shoveled first. It was crazy. So this morning we wake up at 8 o'clock and Rob runs to the church to go shovel the sidewalks there. well at 8:30 I got the call saying church is canceled today, because of the 2 feet we have gotten. Can you believe it. Well the good thing is I see blue skies right now.

A long time ago...Raef had his first day of school

So I know that it has been a long time but I wanted to make sure that I posted the pictures that were on my camera when we down loading them on to a disc. So start he is Raef on his first day of 1st grade. He looks so handsome.

So I have recently stopped drinking Pepsi. I am now a Dr. Pepper Drinker. Sorry Jill. I just noticed that since you stopped drinking it the demand was low so the supply was up. Something had to be done. So there for Dr. Pepper is now in my fridge instead of pepsi. Just until jill comes back.

Just kidding, but I am really enjoying the taste of dr. pepper right now I don't know how long it will last.
